The Australian Bushfood Education Centre brings you a range of different hands-on workshops for both kids and adults that will help you learn and discover the unique and fascinating world of bush foods and native plants. Workshops are delivered by our highly skilled and knowledgeable facilitators to ensure you experience an immersive, educational and fun workshop.

Bush Medicine Masterclass

Explore the power of bushfoods and native plants with our Bush Medicine Masterclass. Our unique educational program combines ancient plant wisdom with modern day science, taking you on a journey into the world of native plants and plant medicines. Discover bush secrets and learn how to make native plant essential oils,  create your very own bushfood tea blend and two bush topical medicines to take home with you. This face-to-face experience is ideal for connecting with others, team bonding or native plant  immersion and promotes health and wellbeing through the joy of connection, bushfoods, Country, and each other.

Bushfood Yarning Workshop

Bushfood Yarning and tasing will allow you to experience the stories,  delights and taste of a vast array of bush tucker (native foods),   Set in a welcoming, relaxed environment on Country or in the workplace, Bushfood yarning encourages open discussions and shared learning about the importance of bushfood for the health and wellbeing of ourselves and Country.. The hands-on workshop will engage all your senses and you'll be able to taste a range of native foods. This is an experience that will have you appreciatie native foods in an immersive atmosphere that connects participants to the Country and its plants.

Bush Fed and Well Lifestyle Program

Our Bush Fed and Well programs supports people who want to incorporate bush foods into , a Healthy Lifestyle. The program is co-designed by communities and support people to adopt healthy eating and preventative health behaviors while learning about the bush and our native foods. The course is delivered in a group over 6-8 sessions and incorporates preventative health strategies including nutrition, nature therapy, movement and resilience-building strategies. Weed Walks and Bushfood Talks

Join a walk today and experience the wonders and delights of bush tucker (native foods), medicinal weeds, and edible weeds. Weed Walks and Bushfood talks will have you discovering hidden plant treasures and exploring some that are in plain view under the guidance of a qualified naturopath, nutritionist and permaculturalist Gain a new perspective of your environment and join a weed walk today. A walk around the block will never be the same again!                                                                               $30 pp

Kids Workshops

Our Kids Workshops are suitable for kids aged 3 and up and allows kids to experience the scents, flavours, and connection to native plants.

We also run Bush Yarning Workshops and Bush Medicine Masterclasses for schools either stand-alone or part of Hospitality/Food tech and STEM.
